About
Anastasia Lin is an award-winning Chinese-Canadian actress and writer who has appeared in more than 20 feature films and television productions. Born in China, raised in Canada, and currently based in New York, she often works at the confluence of activism and acting, playing roles that carry messages of freedom, human rights, and optimism.
Her films have received the Gabriel Award for Best Feature Film, the Mexico International Film Festival's Golden Palm Award, and California's Indie Fest Award. Lin won Best Leading Actress in a TV Movie at the Leo Awards in 2016 and has a BA in Theater from the University of Toronto.
She drew global media attention after being crowned Miss World Canada 2015. Her work has been featured in major media worldwide including the New York Times, which described her as "charismatic, canny and media-savvy," the Wall Street Journal, CNN, and The Guardian. Marie Claire called her "The Badass Beauty Queen," and Flare magazine listed her among their "Top 60 under 30."
Anastasia speaks fluent Mandarin and has a US Green Card. When she is not doing daily movement and speech work, she plays the piano to relax and writes opinion articles to keep her mind stimulated.
